The Bill of Rights
The Bill of Rights is the last of the three great documents that was created by those who founded the United States of America. It is special because the men who wrote it experienced tyranny, government overreach, and hardship. They wanted future generations to live in a free society. There were many concerns that the Constitution did not address, therefore James Madison (aka the “Father of the Constitution”) created 10 amendments (aka The Bill of Rights) to the U.S. Constitution. The Bill of Rights did not get adopted until December 15, 1791. Three years after the Constitution was ratified! Read how the Bill of Rights came about Here.
